Wolfburn 12-Year-Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky
Released annually on Burns Night, Wolfburn’s Anniversary Single Cask bottling marks the moment spirit first flowed once again at the distillery on 25 January 2013. The 2026 edition celebrates 13 years since Wolfburn’s return to spirit and represents the fourth release in this highly sought-after series.
After extensive sampling, cask No. 811, filled in December 2013, was personally selected by our Production Manager as the cask that best captures the distillery’s character. Matured quietly in Warehouse No. 1 for twelve years, this single cask whisky was bottled at natural cask strength, yielding just 874 bottles at 55.2% ABV.
This Wolfburn 12-year-old single malt sits confidently alongside previous Anniversary releases. Familiar malty undertones form the backbone of the spirit, complemented by layers of rich, rounded flavour developed through long maturation. Dark in colour and full-bodied on the palate, it is a patient, assured dram that reflects both time and craft.
ON THE NOSE
Exceptional sweet tones are immediately noticeable – golden syrup on toast, with a healthy addition of soft oak.
ON THE PALATE
The depth of flavour is such that this behaves more like a PX-matured whisky than Oloroso – a heady, creamy mouthful, truly decadent. The sweetness and depth of flavour is an absolute joy. Dates and raisins mingle with golden syrup and treacle, while Wolfburn’s signature soft floral notes overlay the whole.
FINISH
The end is just as sweet and luxurious as the beginning. A truly excellent dram in all respects.

Whisky production: Every bottle is monitored from distillation to its final filling and dispatch, ensuring exceptional consistency and quality of taste.
Non-chill filtered and a natural colour: Bottled without chill-filtration or artificial colouring, preserving the whisky’s true character.
Matured on site: Every cask is matured in Wolfburn’s traditional style dunnage warehouses set by the sea.

Natural Ingredients
Water: Drawn from the Wolf burn, rising from a spring a short distance away, crystal-clear and naturally filtered through Caithness stone.
Malt: Premium, sustainably sourced malt from UK growers. A non-GM and non-GN (Glycosidic Nitrile) variety.
Yeast: Single yeast strain, bottom-fermented to bring out rich, fruity tones.
Fermentation: Long and unhurried – promoting deep, layered flavours before distillation.
Maturation Casks
With a wood policy created to deliver depth of character and balance to every drop, our meticulously sourced casks are filled with either a non-peated or lightly-peated spirit, depending on the season.
1st fill Ex-bourbon barrels from Kentucky
1st and 2nd fill Oloroso sherry butts from Spain
1st fill rum casks sourced from the Caribbean
Custom re-coopered quarter casks from Islay Cooperage in Speyside.
