We were well received at this distillery even before opening time! I’m not a whiskey drinker but tried the single malt which was like a liquor and it was very good! I bought a bottle to bring back to Canada! The person who had us taste test was very pleasant and personable! Give it a try if you’re in Thurso Scotland!

Our guide Wilma was exceptional

Our guide Wilma was exceptional. She gave us the most informative and enjoyable tour of the distillery and the distilling process. One of the highlights of the NC500 road trip. The tasting involved whiskeys matured in different barrels and over different lengths of time which we got to sample. We bought a couple of bottles which we are looking forward to drinking when we get home. Thank you very much.

Worth the money.

Really interesting tour that walks you through the entire whisky making process in the actual distillery and barrel warehouses. Found the history of the brand and some of the marketing design fascinating. Tasting was informed and was a chance to sample a broad range of the whiskies on offer. Well worth the money just to stand in the warehouse and inhale.
