A sweet, balanced and beautifully easy-drinking Langskip Single Malt Scotch Whisky, Langskip’s strength is matched only by its smoothness. Matured entirely in first-fill bourbon casks, this whisky has a unique richness and an extraordinary depth of flavour. Bottled at 58% alcohol by volume, Langskip represents the very best of Wolfburn.

ON THE NOSE
Aromas of fruit blossom meld with dried apples and light oak. In the background, you’ll find traces of raisins and dates, mixed with rich fruitcake.

ON THE PALATE
Flavours burst onto the palate, rich and sweet, including maple syrup, dark chocolate, almonds and raisins. The finish lingers nicely – hints of vanilla gently fade away with a warming trace of caramel at the end.

Whisky production: Every bottle is monitored from distillation to its final filling and dispatch, ensuring exceptional consistency and quality of taste.

Non-chill filtered and a natural colour: Bottled without chill-filtration or artificial colouring, preserving the whisky’s true character.

Matured on site: Every cask is matured in Wolfburn’s traditional style dunnage warehouses set by the sea.

Traditional craftsmanship: Whisky made by hand, using age-old methods and modern precision.

Stream flowing through a natural landscape with grass and trees.

Natural Ingredients

Water: Drawn from the Wolf burn, rising from a spring a short distance away, crystal-clear and naturally filtered through Caithness stone.

Malt: Premium, sustainably sourced malt from UK growers. A non-GM and non-GN (Glycosidic Nitrile) variety.

Yeast: Single yeast strain, bottom-fermented to bring out rich, fruity tones.

Fermentation: Long and unhurried – promoting deep, layered flavours before distillation.

Maturation Casks

With a wood policy created to deliver depth of character and balance to every drop, our meticulously sourced casks are filled with either a non-peated or lightly-peated spirit, depending on the season.

1st fill Ex-bourbon barrels from Kentucky

1st and 2nd fill Oloroso sherry butts from Spain

1st fill rum casks sourced from the Caribbean

Custom re-coopered quarter casks from Islay Cooperage in Speyside.

Delicious

I first tried a bottle of Langskip having bought it in Dornoch in 2021, then visited the Wolfburn distillery and bought another bottle in 2022.
For the price, it is, in my opinion, one of the most complex whiskies I’ve tasted and now a firm favourite of mine to be savoured and to offer to other whisky loving friends. A few drops of water and away we go!

Wonderful winter tipple, warm and full bodied.

Wonderful winter tipple, warm and full bodied. For me it needs a just a splash of water to bring out the full flavour and aroma. Although this is a stronger brew I think it is great value, with the usual impeccable service and delivery from Wolfburn.

Oh wow!

It's got a peat flavour, yet it has a very light colour. Strong and powerful, but I recommend it's taken with a little water to crack the flavour and tame the spirit. It's not a whisky for beginners.

Glorious burn

Yes , heaps of burn but not at all savage and leaves a beautiful aftertaste that grows on you releasing lots of flavour. Really like this one.
